Urban Forest Strategy

Update 2021 Planting and Free Tree Giveaway
Presenting Glen Williams – Manager City Greening

The City of Perth is growing 3000 trees per annum for the project.
The focal areas for planting are Queens Park and East Cannington.
That aligns with the high heat island areas of the Urban Forest strategy.
Nearly 1200 trees planted.
Use of two probes helps determine watering schedule.

Annual tree giveaway day was held 13th June, see Urban Forest page on the Council website for information.

You can also "request a tree" for your street.  While the quota for 2021 is full, applications for 2022 will begin in the second half of this year.
